Now, I haven't been to the dentist in a coupla years, lacking dental insurance, so I know there are cavities lurking, but I do brush regularly and even floss now and again, so I didn't think it was too bad--I just got on James's dental insurance, but it'll be a few more months before anything is actually covered. I figured I could hold out, no problem--I used to go longer than this between check-ups back in college. But this--man. It's not swollen or inflamed, which is a good thing, and it had been vaguely sore a few days ago, but suddenly out of nowhere, WHAM!
So I'm pretty much useless for anything but laying around and playing Monkey Island 3 and silently cursing the cruel dental gods. Monday I'll go in and tell them to fix it or fill it or pull it or SOMETHING--I can't afford it, but I can't hang on like this.
Teeth are like car transmissions, unfortunately--expensive, and mandatory.
