In other news...

I am trying to fix the layout here so it doesn't hurt anybody's eyes, but apparently the only options that I like all have art at the top.

Does anybody know a way to either ditch the art or make a version that at least has much smaller art? Big top-bars waste browsing space on a blog, damnit! (And if it's not possible, how do I make one with MY art? I mean, the tree here is inoffensive, but I don't love it...)

I have no knowledge of CSS and am depressed that I have to muck about with the LJ themes at all, but I had to upgrade to S2 in order to get the subtitles back on collapsed journal comments, because that was making me batshit insane.

ETA: Nevermind, found some things that allow custom colors on simpler designs. Still aggravating. Apologies for wild shifts in color and style while browsing for the next few minutes.

Life is Good

Today I hammered out most of a script upon my agent’s request. It is eighty pages, aimed for 5-7 year olds, required multiple cups of coffee, and at one point features a small sheep standing in a Viking longboat screaming “Valhalla, I am coming!”

Even if it doesn’t sell, the fact that this is my job makes me just unbearably pleased with life.

(Don’t ask, I don’t know, no, it hasn’t sold yet, it is still in infancy, there is no publication date or probability, and I will let you all know as soon as I know anything concrete.)
