Man, the Transformers movie kicked ass!

It's not so much that it was a good movie as that it was very, very fun. Explosions! Planes! Tanks! More explosions! And it was the Transformers, so c'mon! Granted the source material, I don't think it could have been notably improved. Optimus Prime's dialog was hokey, but really, it was Optimus Prime. Goes with the territory.

And Hugo Weaving was the voice of Megatron. Which means that Megatron needed more lines...

Deathless, no. But very fun if, like me, you had no expectations and like to watch giant robots hurt each other.

Transformers ftw! You can never go wrong with giant robots! :D

For more Transformers-esque fun via humor, here's an item about GEICO insuring Autobots. XD

Who is your icon? Is that Miyazawa from Kare Kano?

It's fun! Fun fun fun fun!!!
I wanna go again!!

Did you see the way cool JJ Abrams trailer at the beginning?

Now THAT looks intriguing!

It's not so much that it was a good movie as that it was very, very fun
Funny, that's pretty much my definition of a good movie. It can be as campy or silly or mindless as it wants, as long as it entertains and/or moves me.

..Hugo Weaving!? Dangit, he did need more lines!! I totally didn't know that. huh. :)

Tell me you are psyched for 1-18-08!

So your dream life is obviously quite peculiar. And now thanks to you, mine is too. I looked at some of your art before bed last night, and next thing I know, I'm dreaming that I went to your house to buy some of it and you had a private secretary in your living room who had lots of strange lizards and rabbits running around on her desk. Your living room had no windows, it was quite dark and creepy. And you were working on a new digital piece, so I left you alone, aside from staring over your shoulder at whatever you were painting (figures I can't remember now..)

....I really liked your most recent "Random Hare" piece, but I think this is rather ridiculous :)

Starscream also needed moar lines. :(

But yes. Megatrooooooooon.

Me: LOL.

Also, I cried for bumblebee when the Sector7 guys got him. Also, I think I have a thing for robots now >.

I saw it last night, too.

I adored the hokey-ness, and the goofy dialogue. Sam's parents had me cracking up. "Well, we don't have to call it *that*, we could call it Sam's Happy Time or something, right dear?"

I want a pet Bumblebee of my own. :D

My brother said that that conversation rang scarily true to life.

I was afraid to ask what that meant.

A friend said it reinvented his childhood love of giant robots and ultraviolence. I don't think that movie could have been any more awesome. Megatron totally needed more lines, and Starscream's still sweet, but not the same without the mildly irritating voice.

I liked it! And was all atwitter when Starscream rocketed away in the credits.

Wait...Hugo Weaving's voice played The Voice of God?

*so totally knows nothing about Transformers*

You're thinking of Metatron.

I found the fight scenes annoying. They were so ridiculously claustrophobic.

Except for the scorpion one.
