Portrait

Absolutely the best portrait ever done of me (and arguably, the bar wasn't high) and in my humble opinion, one of my Mom's best pieces, was a gift to me for Christmas.

Dude. The COLORS, man! The Colors!

The medium is oil over acrylic (I think) and the sort of Klimt-esque dress and band in the window of the door are gold-leafed origami paper cut out and applied with gel medium.

Mom has only recently started doing these wildly bright paintings, and they are just seriously amazing. This one's in my studio, and...um...dude. (Obviously I have nothing useful to say, since I keep just going "Dude.")
